The surface has to be flawless, while there is also a rising demand for individual colors and intelligent coatings, which are anti-static or anti-bacterial. To better meet these customer requirements, the company needed to replace its ageing coating installation. When selecting the new system, a high degree of productivity was also important – rapid color change, time-saving cleaning and minimal powder consumption.
By opting for a coating system with a WAGNER PXM powder center, the color change time now is 20 minutes at a maximum, compared to two hours with the old system. This is possible thanks to a sophisticated design and automation. The system‘s powder recovery process fulfills the customer‘s requirements for a sustainable solution. The WAGNER system also enables safe and ergonomic working conditions, as well as low energy consumption. Julius vom Hofe is now able to meet customer demands in a flexible and yet economically viable manner.
Julius vom Hofe specializes in the manufacture of high-quality shelving racks – from storage and archive shelving racks through to special shelving racks, such as for drinks crates, cable reels, hoses, and tires, through to multi-story, accessible rack installations. They are made from high-grade steel and subsequently powder coated.
The PXM powder center can be individually configured. A large field of application is possible thanks to feeding from box or fluid tank with up to 34 injectors, and add-on modules such as filter extraction, EPG rack, fresh powder supply and ultrasonic screen.
