What motivates WAGNER employees to come to work in the morning? What do our employees like about WAGNER? Here is a brief insight.
Having worked in one area for a number of years, I was keen to try out something new. So I was really thrilled to be able to change jobs within WAGNER to one in procurement. First developing products and now shopping: perfect! My background knowledge in product management helps me to better understand contexts and relationships, and to optimise processes. It is stimulating to try out a new venture again and what's more I feel at home in my new team as well.
After my training to become a mechatronics engineer, WAGNER placed me immediately in the powder-coating technical centre as an applications engineer. The work is interesting and I never stand still: WAGNER continues to support me in my professional development. I am currently following an in-service combination of technical and business studies and so have been able to develop myself in house again. It's great to be able to apply emerging knowledge to tasks!
At WAGNER I had opportunity right from the outset – after I graduated with my BA in business studies with specialization in manufacturing, I was able to develop enormously, both personally and professionally. After just seven years in a variety of different functions, I took up my current position of CFO of the Industrial Solutions division. As a member of the division's management team I can contribute to the strategic development of WAGNER within the framework of our corporate values, without losing sight of colleagues' operational tasks. I particularly like the human relationships at WAGNER, ease of access between the sections and the trust placed in me to take on this responsibility.
Since joining WAGNER, I have been offered many opportunities to develop personally and professionally. During my dual studies, I had the chance to gain practical experience in many different departments and was even able to spend time abroad in China at our local branch. After I was taken on, I was given the opportunity to drive forward the topics of innovation and digitalisation in the company and am therefore in a position to actively shape the future of WAGNER.
After my dual studies and my bachelor's thesis, which I already completed in the service department, I was very happy to be taken on. Now I continue to work in the service department, have my own projects there and support my colleagues as best as I can. I feel very comfortable in my team and the everyday work is very exciting, it just never gets boring. I am very excited about what the future holds for me at WAGNER!
Before I started at WAGNER, my focus had moved increasingly away from technology and towards commercial tasks. Since technology and applied computer science appeal more to me, as an in-house SAP consultant for the R&D department, I have found the perfect mix of these two areas of interest and the business process. I can bring my experience to lots of exciting SAP implementation projects and actively design the processes of tomorrow. I was supported very well during my first six months at WAGNER. I was never bored, the team is great, as is the working environment in the department. Thanks to the flexible working time arrangements, I can also balance my work hours with my family time well. I could not be happier!
My role involves working with a wide range of different customers and business partners to find innovative and bespoke solutions: the work is interesting and very varied. I find not only the tasks enriching, but also my colleagues and the great mix of new and longstanding employees. I myself have been at WAGNER for more than 30 years and am happy to pass on my knowledge, although I am also learning all the time. I enjoy the products and the world of WAGNER.
