It is not just in private wine cellars that cool temperatures and high humidity play a decisive role for the ideal storage of quality wine. During the production process, the pressing of wine, high humidity is also required in the wine storage rooms.
In the Lake Constance wine region, 1.3 million bottles of wine are produced annually by the Hagnau winegrowers' association alone and stored in wine barrels and large tanks. Due to the required humidity, the walls of the storage halls have to be coated with special anti-mould paint every few years. The material manufacturer Fakolith offers a 3-stage system for mould removal. Together with our expert and energetic employees of the winegrowers' association, the walls of the wine storage hall were first cleaned and treated with anti-fungal solution before a new coat of anti-mould paint was applied.
Everything was applied with an airless sprayer, the SuperFinish 23 CR, with an additional hopper and a HEA nozzle. The powerful and robust sprayer is ideal for coating large areas and with the additional hopper, the change to a new material is quickly done.
Thanks to the HEA 415 tip used in our example shown, the material can be applied with reduced pressure and therefore significantly less spray mist.
The team had fun renovating the production and storage hall of the winegrowers' association and in the end everyone could also enjoy a sip of the excellent wine.
