MKW, one of the largest contract coating companies in Austria, commissioned a second vertical powder coating system in 2015. The aim was to increase productivity and to continue supplying products of unsurpassed quality. One factor to success: The equipment from WAGNER.
Despite the large volumes, the results have to be perfect. Especially for aluminum profiles, MKW invested in a vertical coating system for two coating booths in 2011. Initially, only one booth was installed and equipped with 20 WAGNER powder guns. Over the years, the batch sizes became smaller and delivery times shorter – MKW wanted to become more efficient and flexible in their production planning.
In 2014, MKW invested in a powder coating system for the second booth. Productivity was increased by over 15% as the two booths now operate on a rotating basis to bridge the color change times. Thanks to SAT-Trevisan‘s triangular design of the second booth and the intelligent arrangement of the guns, chain run and extraction system, only 12 WAGNER guns were required. This resulted in a 40% higher coating efficiency per gun and lower wear costs of the new system. The PXM powder center guarantees continuous fresh powder supply, simple operation and uniform surface finishes, particularly for metallic powders.
The system has been designed for quality and efficiency in every detail. We have thus created the perfect conditions for the further success of MKW.
